Adopting an Attitude of Gratitude can and will change your life for the better.

New Rules episode_5_banner

Even though this podcast was taped at the end of the year and encourages you to look back at the past year and assess it, you can use this as a guide to look back at each month, at every 3 months, every 6 months, etc. Sometimes breaking down your year into smaller chunks and doing an evaluation will make it easier for you. I like to look back every few months and assess where I was, look at what I have accomplished, and decide where I am going now. I do this all with a sense of Gratitude.

NEW RULE; the strategy to help with this new world we live in:

Adopt a daily attitude of gratitude.

Why it’s important; benefits both personally and professionally:

Forces you to focus on the positive and not the negative. Doesn’t allow the fear to creep in and take precedence in your mind.

How to accomplish the above:

Each day when you wake up think about what you grateful for.  Keep a journal (notebook) on your bedside table with a pen or pencil.  Wake up and consciously think, say and write down what you are grateful for.  There is always something.

Golden Nuggets:

  • Look in the rear view mirror of this year in the areas of Health, Family, Finances, Spirituality, Learning and Extracurricular activities and fun. Reflect back on what has happened in each of these areas and think about what you have accomplished, and what/where you would like to do better next year.
  • Business, Community, Continuing Education and Learning – Examine all your business assets, your part in the business community and your education through a microscope. Analyze what you have accomplished, and how you can improve to increase your revenue and profits in the coming year.
  • Celebrate each and every success no matter how big or how small.
  • Be Grateful each and every day of your life.
